Year 2 Term 2- Truly Scrumptious

PE Days 

On P.E. days, children are asked to wear their P.E. kit to school.

 

P.E. days for Term 2 are:

Mondays: Class 9 and Class 12

Thursdays: Class 10 and Class 11

We have loved learning about different types of chocolate. Did you know there are three different types? White chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. We conducted a melting experiment to see which type of chocolate melted the quickest, it was the milk chocolate. Dark chocolate melted the slowest, we wondered if that was because it has less sugar.

After learning the names of 3D shapes and their properties we had a go at making lollypop stick 3D shapes. We tried to make a cuboid, a cube and a pyramid. Did you know both a cuboid and cube have 8 pointy vertices, but a pyramid only has 5 vertices.

Jelly on a plate, jelly on a plate, wibble wobble wibble wobble, jelly on a plate!

We have been using our senses to come up with some exciting vocabulary to describe jelly. We wrote adjectives to describe the wobbly, jiggly, shiny jelly. We also described the delicious taste and slimy feeling of the jelly in our hands.
